Telefónica O2 Slovakia released E-portal delivered by Emeldi

E-portal is a large and ambitious self-care portal application and it is officially called Moje O2. As a single sign-on portal system, E-portal takes on the role as O2 Slovakia’s new primary face to the online world by integrating all of O2 Slovakia’s distributed customer self-service web applications (such as o2Active, E-Shop, O2Forum, E-Recharging, bulletins, etc.) into a single-point of service web portal. Emeldi delivering a talk at this year’s Liferay Europe Symposium in Frankfurt, Germany

In what is becoming a yearly event, Emeldi will again be speaking at Liferay's fourth annual Europe Symposium. On the agenda this year; a case study in setting up a Liferay-driven enterprise portal.

Alistair Oldfield, Senior Project Manager for Emeldi, will be discussing topics focusing on the key challenges and solutions encountered implementing a complete and repeatable site-wide migration from a legacy portal running on Microsoft SharePoint - a major competing portal technology - into Liferay 6.0.

Topics ranging from automated content migration to a complete functional migration involving implementation of multiple enterprise-class features - currently not available in the latest product distribution - will be the primary focus of the discussion.

In its efforts to contribute and promote Liferay’s ever-growing community, this will be Emeldi’s 2nd talk at Liferay Europe Symposium in as many years. Last year’s case study of O2 Slovakia’s EPORTAL solution (www.o2.sk) featured a joint presentation from Emeldi Director, Dusan Bystriansky, & Radoslav Volny, O2 Senior Manager for Online Channels.
